Reitan Convenience turns value chain transparency into better assortment decisions with Infine

Reitan Convenience has selected Infine to support its supplier engagement and data work across seven countries, covering product-level CO₂, supplier due diligence and Code of Conduct alignment. This translates into clear business targets to build a future-proof assortment.

The collaboration supports Reitan Convenience’s ambition to make sustainability practical, measurable and usable. For Infine, the collaboration demonstrates the scalability of its Infine Insight solution: how ordinary data on products and suppliers can be connected, structured and turned into decision-ready insight across complex, multi-market retail operations.

Reitan Convenience is one of the Nordic and Baltic region’s largest convenience retail chains, with more than 1,500 stores across Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden. The company operates some of the region’s best-known convenience brands, including 7-Eleven, Pressbyrån, Narvesen, R-kioski, Ärrä, R-kiosk, Lietuvos Spauda, Caffeine, Northland and PBX.

“Reitan Convenience Finland has been working with Infine for several years already. It is exciting to see how the work done together with Infine will now benefit all of the Reitan Convenience chains and make our sustainability efforts regarding products and suppliers more effective and data-driven in all seven markets.”

Infine Insight as the unified enterprise-level sustainability solution

Infine Insight analyses ordinary product and company data using science-based, third-party sustainability and ESG databases, producing one structured solution. For Reitan Convenience, Infine Insight measures product-level CO₂, Code of Conduct alignment, supplier due diligence and value chain transparency.

Product-level CO₂

Infine Insight calculates product-level CO₂ automatically from ordinary product data. This enables Reitan Convenience to create a more systematic view of climate impact across its entire edible assortment.

Code of Conduct alignment

Reitan Convenience has a broad and evolving set of criteria for its assortment. Infine Insight translates these criteria into measurable, comparable product-level insight.

Supplier due diligence

Due diligence regulations increase the need to identify, assess and address human rights and environmental risks in value chains. Infine Insight manages supply chain risk using the OECD risk assessment framework across all suppliers, countries and supplier types to support a clearer view of value chain transparency in high-risk areas.

“Reitan Convenience has an ambitious and unusually strong sustainability strategy. They are clearly at the front of the market in turning sustainability from reporting into real product, supplier and category work. With intelligent technology, we can now automate work that previously had to be done manually. In Finland, through our work in the Food Data Finland project, we have seen how much manual data work is still needed, and how often sustainability data sits in seven different places. Our role is to connect, harmonise and automate that work as far as possible and to reduce the unnecessary form-filling and back-and-forth for both retailers and suppliers.”

Supplier engagement through Infine Connect

A key part of the solution is Infine Connect for Reitan Convenience, the supplier-facing portal used to collect and complete data that does not yet exist in Reitan Convenience’s own systems or third-party product databases.

The portal is designed to reduce manual work for both Reitan Convenience and their suppliers. Existing product and supplier data is pre-filled, so suppliers are not asked to start from scratch. They can review, verify and complete the required data in one clear workflow, with guidance on what is needed and why.

Over time, suppliers will also be able to access optional insight services that help them understand how their products and company appear in the Reitan Convenience context.

The future of data-driven sustainability

As retailers face growing expectations around transparency, sustainability and supply chain accountability, the need for scalable, decision-ready data infrastructure will continue to grow.

Infine’s role is to help retailers, convenience chains, wholesalers and suppliers turn product, supplier and sustainability data into practical business insight – reducing manual work, improving supplier collaboration and enabling better commercial decisions.

The Reitan Convenience collaboration is an important example of that transformation in practice.
