A new domestic climate impact dataset will be added to complement the data sources of the Infine Insight sustainability data service.
The data produced by the Natural Resources Institute Finland (Luke) covers over 1,200 raw materials, including climate impacts of common ingredients on the Fineli database. The data is based on life cycle assessments, meaning the impact evaluations cover the greenhouse gas emissions generated throughout the raw materials’ life cycle, from the production of agricultural inputs to wholesale. The dataset consists of two types of data: generic raw material-specific climate impacts and category-specific averages.
Infine Insight’s sustainability analyses are based on reliable third-party databases. We use sources from globally respected organisations such as the World Bank, Transparency International, the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), WWF, Denmark’s green think tank CONCITO, The Big Climate Database, UNICEF, EU and government publications, as well as research from NGOs and industry, trusted certifications, and peer-reviewed articles.
We are proud to add Luke’s climate impact data to our data sources during the autumn 2024.
